Gentle Yoga for Helpers and Healers

17 May 2026 10:00AM

As providers, we hold space for others every day — listening deeply, tending to emotion, and offering steady presence. But in the midst of supporting so many, it’s easy to lose connection to our own center. This practice is an invitation back to yours.

In this fully-guided introductory level 45-minute yoga flow, you'll gently return to your body's innate wisdom through breath-led movement, nervous system nourishing practices, and intuitive rest. Join us as we co-create a space to soften, recalibrate and remember what it feels like to be at home in yourself. Expect grounding, playfulness, and a sense of embodied restoration. Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat!

After class, stick around for casual mingling and connection with fellow mental health and wellness professionals.

Margaux Forster, MA, SCL, LLPC, RYT-200 (she/her) is passionate about holding trauma-informed space for folks to slow down, breathe and safely re-connect with their bodily autonomy and wise intuition. She believes yoga is a powerful resource for supporting mental and emotional well-being, building resilience, and preventing burnout. Margaux currently works as a school counselor in the Metro-Detroit area and teaches weekly Somatic and Yin yoga classes at Detroit Yoga Lab.
